Located in the Southern Atlantic

Located in the southern Atlantic, the islands of The Bahamas are scattered across 100,000 square miles of some of the clearest water in the world like a string of rare gems. If you prefer a lively pace, historic city sights, shopping and casino action, choose Paradise Island or the capital city Nassau on New Providence Island. If you take "getting away from it all" more literally, the Out Islands are where you will want to be: The Abacos, Eleuthera, The Exumas and Long island are just a few to visit. Cast out for some fantastic sport fishing, dive the coral reefs, or dance the night away to an island beat - with more than 700 islands, this country offers something for every visitor.
